Detailed Itinerary

08:00 – Hotel Pickup in Tozeur or Nefta
Meet your driver-guide at your hotel for a warm welcome and tour briefing. Depart in a comfortable air-conditioned 4×4 vehicle and head toward the western mountain chain near the Algerian border.

08:45 – Arrival at Chebika Oasis
Begin with a guided walk through the lush oasis of Chebika, once a Roman outpost and later a Berber village. Discover a natural spring, palm-lined paths, and remnants of the old village built into the cliff. Learn how the community once lived off this life-giving water source in the middle of arid stone mountains.

09:30 – Drive to Tamerza and Panoramic Stop
Enjoy scenic views as you drive toward Tamerza, the largest mountain oasis in Tunisia. Stop for a panoramic photo over the abandoned mud-brick village, a dramatic waterfall, and a vast canyon formed by seasonal river flows. Your guide will explain the history of the village, its decline, and the unique natural features of the area.

10:15 – Visit to Mides Canyon and Cliff Village
Continue your drive to Mides, a small village perched on a cliff edge overlooking a spectacular gorge. Walk to the edge of the canyon to take in the deep, winding ravines below. Visit the remains of the village and take in views that stretch toward the Algerian mountains. This location was also used in several film scenes, thanks to its cinematic scenery.

11:15 – Return Drive to Tozeur
